    It's an AU... so sue me.

    At the end of an ancient war, Xadia was separated from the world using a magical barrier called the veil.

    Many millennia later when Humanity was banished to the west, Xadia was confident that humanity would never pose a threat to them since the world was now all but devoid of magical life thus they believed Dark Magic was rendered worthless.
    Xadia felt secure in the belief that they would retain their superiority even if humanity ever managed to breach the veil. But the status quo wouldn't last forever and a great change was descending upon the world as Xadia must now face a world where dragons and mages once the key deciding factor in any conflict are now surpassed by technological and industrial capacity.
     
    But what drives a conflict is not always seldom apparent, some fight for glory, their nation, for money, revenge, for their future, for resources, for a distraction, but they are inevitable for no one truly acts for no reason, even the most insane of plans and goals concocted by the even most deranged of minds have a line of reasoning and motivations that perhaps only its creator can fathom.
