    Summary

“I’m only teasing, Hal,” Hans whispers against his ear, nipping gently at the lobe. Henry shivers, twisting his head into the pillow. God help them both if Hans spots the dopey grin on his face. “Come now, don’t be cross. It’s a happy day.”

Determined, Hans trails slow kisses from his jaw to the nape of Henry’s neck. They’re featherlight and coaxing, and it’s not a fair fight, really. It never is, not anymore, not when Hans has had half a lifetime to dedicate to the careful study of Henry’s body. If his lord put as much effort into mastering his footwork in the sparring ring, he might win a bout or two against Henry on occasion. Ah, well.

Post-KCD2: More than 20 years after setting out on their mission to Trosky, Lord Hans Capon and Henry of Skalitz, his personal guard, attend another wedding. This time, they arrive together. Created for the 2025 KCD Holiday Exchange.

    Summary

“Did you think I just really wanted to spend the day in the forest?” Hans kissed the slope of his nose, staring him in the eyes with eyebrows raised slightly.

“I thought you wanted to spend the day with me.” Henry’s voice was teasing, and he pulled at one of the strands of blond hair, just to see Hans bite his lip.

“Oh, I do. And the night as well.”

Hans and Henry go hunting. Henry loses a challenge, but doesn’t, really.

    Summary

Henry wonders if this is it, if he’s actually tired enough after the assault on Nabokov Fortress to ignore his lord’s less than subtle pleas for attention. Under different circumstances, he would roll his eyes before giving Hans a crooked smile. He would hem and haw, but he would find his place next to Hans, and listen to him wax poetic about the intricacies of some treaty negotiation, or the epic deeds of a knightly order, or his latest misadventure with a tavern wench. He would laugh, ask questions, tease him. And he would ignore the now-familiar tightening in his chest and fluttering in his stomach that arrives like an uninvited dinner guest each time they’re alone together.

But as much as Henry would like it to, this impossibly long day doesn't end after a game of dice with Sir Hans.

    Summary

“Hans,” he immediately called, catching his breath and unable to keep his discovery to himself. “Hans,” urgent and even louder the second time.
“What, you dolt!? Keep yelling like that and every animal within a fifty mile radius will have cleared off by tomorrow,” came the lord’s reply in equal volume.
“Look what I’ve found,” Henry exclaimed, ignoring the biting remark, smile evident even in his tone.
Reading on, he struggled with one particular word, letters arranged in an unfamiliar way.
“This better be good,” Hans huffed as he strode toward Henry, hair still dripping wet.
“Some poor sod lost his letter,” Henry chuckled, still facing away from Hans, who had gone quiet. “Here, listen to this: ‘my heart has been full to bursting with unspeakable lust for none but you.’ Christ.”

    ———

In which Henry finds a letter, and Hans is not happy about it.
