It’s like they’re suspended in time, just for a moment. Seokjin stares at Yoongi, and Yoongi stares back, both as red as strawberries. Yoongi can’t make heads or tails of it. Perhaps Seokjin is simply embarrassed by Yoongi’s awkward reaction, their two introverted personalities coming out in full force. Or perhaps Seokjin feels bad for Yoongi, has finally figured out Yoongi’s silly little crush, and when faced with it head on he doesn’t know how to respond.
Yoongi decides he needs to guide them out of whatever territory they’ve found themselves in. It could get dangerous here quickly and he’s just not ready for that. “Hyung,” he breaks the ice, turning back to his soup and picking out another dumpling. “You really gotta stop dumping your dates for reasons that don’t make any sense.”
