Summary
Vasily probably hated him now–thought he was a twisted freak, or a savage animal, scavenging the dead of the forest like some primal beast. Maybe that description was true, he certainly felt like a cornered animal, hunched over something rancid. Before Lovell could speak again, still fighting the sudden lump in his throat as he stood paralyzed, Vasily spoke up.
"You never came by my room earlier, figured I'd come check up on you," Kirillov's eyes dropped from Roser's face as he leaned to the side, his eyes glancing to the partially dissected corpse to make a point. His eyebrows raised in amusement, "I see you have been busy?"

Or, Lovell gets lost in his work and Vasily seeks him out in worry. Can you really blame Lovell for being a bit scared of judgement?

Summary
Vasily glanced over as Lovell's footsteps approached, only catching a brief look at Lovell's flushed face before the man was behind him.
He gave a small hum as Lovell's arms wrapped around him, the ginger quickly plastering himself to his back. The gunsmith's hands came up to hold the gloved hands around his torso, gently turning his head as he felt Lovell nuzzle against his neck, panting.
"That was a quick hour, miss me that much?" Vasily quipped, unaware of Lovell's desperate state. He did, however, furrow his brows as he noticed the heat emanating off of the botanist against him.
