“Hey, Aizawa-kun,” Kaneko sidles up to him after class is over, as Aizawa stuffs his notebooks into his backpack. “Could you give this to Hizashi? You guys are friends, right?” She holds out a small note, her smile big enough to make it obvious that she was nervous. The note is folded twice into a neat square, but Aizawa can just see the indents of loopy script made from a pen pressing too hard into the paper.
People keep giving Aizawa love letters to pass on to Hizashi, so he decides to do the rational thing and throw them all away.

They've been out of school for a few years now, Aizawa working as an underground hero, while Yamada makes a name for himself in the spotlight. They've drifted apart, but when Aizawa follows a villain into a bar, he's surprised to see a familiar bright face behind the DJ station. They reunite to try and take down the villain, but how long will it last?
Pre-canon. They're around 23-24 years old here.
Excerpt:
He’s looking at the faces of the people across from him when he notices the bodies immediately surrounding him begin to turn around in his periphery. He leans away from the bar and does the same, wanting to see what the commotion was about. He follows the man next to him’s gaze up to the stage and sees someone walking across it. He’s glad he didn’t get a drink because he would have spit it all out at what he was seeing.
A bright, vibrant point of color in all the smoke and shadow, cascading down a pair of leather clad shoulders and a back he’d seen so many times before.
Is that fucking Hizashi?
Should he even call him by his given name anymore? They had barely exchanged more than a few passing conversations since graduation.
