Summary
"Stop crying already, Luffy," Ace grumbles but he doesn't stop his youngest brother from tucking himself into his freckled arm. Doesn't tell him that it soothes the anxiety in Ace's own heart to feel the sensation.
"Sabo's not gonna die is he?" Luffy fails to choke back another sob threatening to claw its way out his throat.
Ace swallows, "of course not, don't be dumb. Be quiet before Dadan wakes up and makes us go back upstairs."
In which Ace contemplates the things that tether his brothers to the pain of other people an unknown distance away and what his own soul-bond means for himself.
