___________Killer lived a despotic life. A blur of dust and blood was all he could remember, even from his youth, which was all hazy for him to even think about. So, he did what he had to do to survive. It even became his namesake. While he was aware of the strange shadows that always lurked around him, he didn't expect to be dragged into its inexorable, intoxicating darkness.

This is basically started as a rewrite of the first chapter of Bound by Shadows, an Undertale AU story that my partner and I wrote about a year ago and posted on Wattpad-
This was written on a whim because I wanted to at least give this part of the story some life again, considering the amount of time my partner and I spent writing and editing the story-
Plus it was kind of a shame that we just let this story sit to collect dust, so this rewrite chapter was just something that I wanted to do, ehe-
But then I somehow ended up developing the world the story took place in a little further and I sorta came out with a second chapter-

Lumine wakes up 500 years too late and somehow still joins the Abyss Order. But when she wakes up, there is no Celestia. In its place is an Empire full of humans with some sort of vendetta against her. Constantly on the run from nearly all humans and humanoids alike, Lumine makes friends with hilichurls and a strange group called the Abyss Order, all the while avoiding its strange human inhabitants who seem hell-bent on dragging her off to their ruler.
Aether, on the other hand, has woken up 500 years too early and still ends up as the Traveler. But with 500 years of waiting, a fractured kingdom, and no family in sight, he spends the next few centuries rebuilding Tevyat into a force that can finally help him find his sister. (Because let’s be honest, putting up missing person posters can only do so much. And there comes a point where waiting for nothing makes the Traveler want to do something more.)
A.k.a. everyone becomes obsessed with Lumine in some way somehow, though some more than others
