“This mission will be harder without March," Dan Heng said in that pointed way of his. "Aren't you taking this too lightly? You do know that means that it’s much hotter than the average world, right?” he informed her, pinning her with an exasperated expression. He often had her pegged when she wasn't actually paying attention. Not that it'd stop her.
“Right,” Stelle agreed absently. “That’s exactly what I thought it meant.” She hadn’t thought too hard about it after that. How hot could it be, after all? Jarilo-VI had been colder than the average world and while it was annoying, they had fared just fine while out there.
And -- she couldn't deny that she was a little excited to spend some time alone with Dan Heng, so she could be forgiven if she also shooed off his attempts to coerce another astral train crewmember into helping to fill in for March's absence.
