Summary
World War II has silently raged for over eighty years.
Dr. Angela Ziegler is part of Blackwatch, a fifth column group within Nazi Germany plotting to tear down the Reich from the inside.
Their work is slow and methodical, yet the creation of a brainwashing machine upends years and decades of carefully-laid plans. Blackwatch can't sit by, they must rid the world of such a terrible creation; anything less would spell victory for the Nazis. A desperate plan is hatched: Angela will kill the inventor, steal his notes and creation, and defect to the Allies.
However, a premature Nazi invasion derails those plans, forcing Angela to travel with a group of Allied soldiers tasked with escorting her to Free France.
Angela must find a counter to the brainwashing device, convince the soldiers she is not the Nazi doctor they believe her to be, as well as come to terms with her own repressed sexuality and her growing attraction to the Egyptian sergeant, Fareeha Amari.- Language:

The betrothal of Jaina Proudmoore, the first human with magic in her veins, to a Lord of the elven royalty was a convenient way for the humans to rid themselves of the perceived threat of a dangerous young woman with a gift none of them understood. It had also solidified a long-standing, tenuous truce between them. And Jaina? Well. Jaina never felt like she belonged, anyway. She has always wanted more.

“Yang,” Blake says finally. “How old are you?”
“Nineteen,” Yang says. Blake nods, the confusion on her face disappearing. She reaches out with one hand and lays it atop Yang’s prosthetic. Gently, she guides Yang’s hand down so that there isn’t a gun in her face anymore. Yang doesn’t fight her. “How old are you?” Yang asks. Blake sighs, shakes her head, half-smiles.
“Thirty-two."
(yang falls, and falls, and falls through time.)
