When Jaune Arc falls into the void, he thinks of his failure, his JNPR team, or what's left of them, and when the thought was about to die, he ends up in a strange place where dust doesn't exist and the gods are roaming the earth. Wait, is that a tree with a clock for fruit?
Jaune doesn't know what the hell he is, but he hopes he can return to his world, so he can stop Salem. All he has to do is wait for the RWBY team to arrive in the strange world.

After everything that has happened in Atlas, Winter and Emerald just want to move forward somehow with their new reality. But there has been so much loss and both could use a bit of comfort to stay grounded during these difficult times. And it doesn't help that both are insanely attractive...
One thing leads to another, and now they are finding their refuge in each other while indulging the desires they either long repressed or never knew they had. Turns out fucking away their problems can lead to new and beautiful things.

The two former leaders were given new lives on a new planet with a purpose: protect the last Ancient and save the planet. Will they be able to do this task while coping with their losses?

Everyone had heard the warning Ambrosius had spoken. Everyone assumed the consequences for taking a tumble off the golden brick roads sufficiently dire to warrant them. Not a single one of them were prepared for the ramifications, nor could they be expected to. Death was always the shadow on their heels; nobody hunted the Grimm with anything less than certainty that their life could end with one mistake. A brief detour into another dimension would probably have been an unenviable fate, but a survivable one that did not greatly subvert the status quo.
This is not that story.

She, Mercury and Neo have poured over the plan what has to be hundreds of times by now, stealing moments away at the makeshift camp they had all set up in the wilds outside of Vale. Sneak off, knock out Watts, steal the airship. Sneak off, knock out Watts, steal the airship. Sneak off, knock out Watts - god, but what if he’s ready for them? What if Salem’s ready for them? What if she knows about what they’ve been planning this entire time? She’s not here, but her monstrous Seer is - what if it had been listening in on them?
(OR: Mercury, Emerald and Neo attempt to make their getaway from Salem during a battle. Meanwhile, Oscar's been cast adrift, with nothing left to live for. Their paths intersect, and they must all make a choice- do what is right, or do what is easy.)
