Summary
Upon successful completion of Zeke Jeager's dissertation and rigorous graduate program, he'll earn a PhD. But for now, he is simply a part-time dad to his brother Eren and friends, a sporadic English tutor, professional napper, occasional degenerate, and most importantly, a full-time graduate teaching assistant for Dr. Magath. Levi Ackermann is a college dropout and cafe employee with a tragic past. When their paths literally intersect in the cafe, what will come of it?
Or: Graduate school AU in which all Zeke Jeager can do is be bisexual, eat hot chip, and die (on the inside).
November 2024 Update -> Thank you everyone, for your engagement with this story over the years. I'm sad to say that I won't be finishing this--yes I know I promised (and several times at that) to write this until completion, so please don't hate me! I'm just at a point in my life where I do not foresee myself finishing this...my priorities have shifted. But I'm forever a part of the fandom and I'll definitely still frequent this site. Sending you my great thanks again for all the kudos and comments, and sending you my love <3

Summary
The demon hummed thoughtfully, slipping a hand into his backpocket. He pried out a black book. Flipped through it leisurely as Armin glared up at him. “Well… Necromancy seems to be against every natural law in the universe. Perhaps a deal before his death would’ve worked. Widows. You’re all the same.”
Armin resurrects his dead husband.

Summary
You need to stop giving in to Father, Zeke! You’re always doing what he says. He won’t stop looking at you with distaste, Zeke. He won’t. That man hates you and there’s nothing you can do to change that.” Silence. Eren’s heavy breath fills the air. “And I know he hates me too.” Eren’s side of their body collapses and Zeke doesn’t oppose. They remain in an awkward position between sitting and laying. The floor is cold. But colder is their heart. Moments pass and Eren says the last thing his brother expects. “Let’s show everyone what he did. What he hides in the house up in the hill.”

Summary
Eren drank his wine quickly. Set his glass down, pointing a pinky at Zeke. “He’s family. And father was family. You, however… Are just the woman he slept with for the past sixteen years. Let’s hope you were the only one, too. Wouldn’t want to split his fortune with bastards, right dearest mother?”
“Very crass, but it really can’t be helped. One must be as obscene as possible to be an artist these days. Do you feel accomplished, my darling son? Shall I put your work on display? Oh, that’s right…” Dina smiled politely, “You’ve failed to create anything.”
The Jaegers are old money. Zeke has long been the prodigal son, but only because his brother has set the bar so low it would take being a butcher of men to be a bigger disappointment. Still, he loves the man and is glad to be reunited with him... Even if it took their father dying for him to finally come home.
