He heard it before he saw it—a wet cough, desperate breathing, the metallic tang of blood in the air. Bucky turned the corner of a back alley in the Narrows and saw him.
A kid.
No, not quite a kid—seventeen, maybe eighteen. Black hair matted to his forehead, one hand gripping his throat, the other trembling as it tried to apply pressure to a vicious wound slicing across his neck. Blood soaked his jacket, pooling beneath him.
Bucky dropped to a knee beside him without hesitation.
“Hey, hey—easy,” he said, his voice low, calm despite the adrenaline kicking in. “You’re not gonna die here. Not tonight.”

Summary
After a moment, Strange finishes his spell, letting out a sigh as he drops his magic. The arc reactor in his hand shimmers with power, both magical and regular, the steady white-blue now accented by shivering, red-orange symbols that gently orbit the metal casing.
“Fancy,” Tony says, reaching out to take it.
Strange pulls his hand back instead and says, “Forgive me, Tony.”
Tony can’t move. He freezes in place, hand twitching above the changed arc reactor. Confusion, followed by shock, followed very quickly by fear driven anger as Tony snap his eyes back to Strange.
Strange meets his gaze and says, “When you find him, ask Tim for help.”

Summary
Peter’s gotten used to Gotham by now. The thousand little sounds that build up to the cacophony of a city in controlled chaos. But it isn’t home, and it never will be, and the more time passes, the more that thought makes him twitch. He’s frustrated by it, annoyed that he feels like he’s forcing his way through a world that doesn’t belong to him. Worse, the Soul Stone is starting to become more and more of an issue. As if it senses something coming.
Tony's last words had been 'the threat always comes back.' Thanos won't be thwarted forever, only delayed. Eventually, he's going to hunt down the stray Soul Stone that Peter holds.
The Bats have a few opinions on that. The Avengers that have fallen into this other world have a few of their own. And there's the problem of Dr. Strange's letter...

Summary
The last thing Peter sees is Tony's horrified, heartbroken expression leaning over him. The guilt in his eyes is almost worse than the burning pain that's taking Peter apart piece by piece. The world starts to go dark.
There's a flash of gold and green. For one moment, he finds himself standing amongst the Guardians and others. And then darkness again. It feels like blinking; an extended period of nothingness that ends as abruptly as it begins. One moment there’s nothing, the next there’s light.
“Easy,” a woman says. Her words are gentle, and carry a slight accent that he can’t place. "I'm called Wonder Woman. What's your name?"
