My friends, what I'm going to present to you is something very special.
Certainly, because here we talk about mothers, indeed about a mother who, as to be special, is second to none. Of course! She is the first vulcan mother of a half human-half vulcan child (actually more than one: surely, you remember my Ulysses, don't you?)
If a thing of such a kind is not special, then in this case it should be said that nothing special exists!
That's not enough! We will see this mother think, act, talk in a very special day for every mother: Mother's Day
Oh I know, I know. Once again I know what you want to say. This is a human recurrence, not vulcan. But we're talking about T'Pol, my friends, T'Pol! Who, for those who do not remember it, got married to a human man whose name is Charles "Trip" Tucker the third. Do not you think this is enough to explain ...

My friends, what hopefully you're going to read takes place on a precise date, December 24, 2151, Christian Calendar. The first Christmas eve on Enterprise. More precisely, the first Christmas eve (on Enterprise and in general) of a certain Vulcan female.
Christmas is Christmas, that’s undeniable. There's in it some sort of magic that one can't but perceive, even if this one is... a vulcan female and, in addition, a very peculiar vulcan female.
Do you remember?
… when T’Les tells T’Pol that her emotions always were near surface? Well, you don't even know how much that’s true.
… when Archer tells T’Pol, before reaching the Expanse, that her life is surely very difficult under the bombing of the human emotions? With a strange face she replies she got acclimatized to them. Eh per force, poor T'Pol! She must share her vital space with that tremendous Commander Tucker who, without even being aware, had laid claim to her even before her boarding on Enterprise (I am alluding to another story of mine. It will be here soon, I promise).
In light of all this, what do you think might happen to our dear T'Pol in this "contagious" magic of Christmas?

My friends, have you read my Honeymoon? Yes? I am happy. So, what do you think of the honeymoon of that rascal of Charles Tucker and his newly-bride Mrs. T'Pol Tucker? An unquestionably exotic wife, for sure, and also unquestionably no longer doubtful about the value of Human customs. And decidedly not recalcitrant, from what we can know from their first wedding night.
Nothing to say. A wedding night to be remembered, made of tenderness and passion, desire and love, as it should be.
Okay, all perfect. But after the night, there's the morning.
And the morning brings thoughts.
Honestly, how do you think a bride can feel, when, after the first night of mind-numbing joyful love, she realizes that her life will never again be the same? That everything changed for her? Do you think that T'Pol, being a Vulcan, can be exempt from such a malaise? Vulcans, you know, feel fear and other feelings and, most importantly, T'Pol's not exactly as the other "supposedly stoic” Vulcans. And, even more importantly, which other vulcan female has ever found herself in her situation?
There's enough to make veins and pulses tremble.
But fortunately...

My friends, if, as I hope, you have enjoyed “Honeymoon”, you have surely noticed there are several hints to something terrible that has happened, something so horrible, so frightening, that T'Pol doesn't bear even the slightest mention of it.
What bloody hell happened, you will wonder?
Mh, honestly I really had a lot of qualms in telling you this something, because it's something really awful. Yet, in spite of that, it was also tremendously important, because it brought into the light, once and for all and in front of everyone, even in front of Trip and T'Pol themselves, the incredible strength and depth of their love. Therefore, I overcame my hesitations and I decided to tell everything. But be careful, my friends. This is something that maybe not everyone is able to stand.
"Oh stop! Enough! Do you think we are whining sissies? Tell us everything!"
Okay, my friends, okay
But allow me a final warning.
You know: T'Pol, being a Vulcan, makes a point of honour to control her emotions, but there are times when this is impossible. For anyone. Even for a Vulcan. Even, and especially, for her, T'Pol. You can't do it, when you have to face, in all its might…Destiny. -

My friends, do you remember how T'Pol referred to Trip in her thoughts, in "Ulysses"? She called him "husband", or, to be more precise, she thought of him as: “my husband”. Ah, but then, there must have been a wedding. And after a wedding - well, of course - there would be a Honeymoon.
“A Honeymoon?”. I can clearly hear voices raised in scepticism and see your disbelieving faces, dear readers, while you inevitably shout out: "Vulcans don't have Honeymoons!” Sure, sure, you are right, my dearest friends. But, you see, we're talking about a very peculiar Vulcan female - do not forget that fact - who was the first to join her fate with that of a Human. So why is it not possible that she would also have wanted to enjoy this unique and pleasant human tradition with him? Ushering in the pleasure that many Vulcans, after T’Pol opened the road, enjoy to feel? So, believe me, I am not lying when I say that she, the first Vulcan woman to marry a Human man and to break the barriers of traditions and customs as rigid as those of her people, least of all wanted to miss the pleasure of such a “satisfactory” human custom.
And as to the veracity and incontrovertibility of that “satisfactory", well, please just read THIS ONE. -

There's a book ,“The Good That Men Do”, where a historical verity is revealed, which is that Commander Charles “Trip” Tucker the Third didn't die, or, rather, that he didn't die at the time and in the way detailed in the TV show’s finale. And that's fine. Let's take this for granted. But - well, let me tell you, my friends - for the rest I must frankly say that there’s really very little of reliable (historically speaking) in that book, as well as in what we saw on the TV show. But my friends, can you really believe that the romance between Trip and T'Pol could be over in a flash? Almost before it began, so to speak? Can you believe that the cursed death of their baby daughter could have really been able to push them apart from each other rather than push them even more strongly and inseparably in each other's arms?
Come on! This is impossible! Let's be serious!
And actually...
