Summary
One cannot define grief as a solid entity; It shifts and changes like the tide, rising and falling, waxing and waning. Its unexpectedness rips off a layer of one's life like a band-aid, and an exposed underbelly is never pretty. J is no exception.

Summary
The battle against the Absolute Solver shook the entire world. Rumors about what happened flooded the other outposts. Stories about our heroes spread from drone to drone; word-of-mouth storytelling warping it as it went on.
On the other side of Copper-9, Outpost 76 began hearing stories about the fearsome Murder Drone who stole away a beautiful Worker to be his bride.
Someone probably shouldn’t have told the drone obsessed with larping and knights about it though.

Summary
What were the stages of grief again?
Denial, Jax remembers. He knows that one. It’s the first on the list, the one that clues people in that it’s developing grief in the first place. Not that he’s grieving. That was silly. And a straight up delusional take on his situation. He doesn’t grieve.
Cartoonish purple rabbits don’t grieve.
The dead can’t speak, the guilty don’t deserve to. Pomni has Thoughts™ and makes it Jax’s whole problem.
(Or: the one where she gives one last push.)

Summary
Danny wakes up in a strange place, gets almost buried in an avalanche of decomposing books, and then meets a catperson, in that order.
----
"Hey, uh…" The person began, their voice sounding like they'd swallowed sandpaper. "You, uh, okay over there? I know that's a silly question."
Danny coughed and, yes, impolitely did not answer because he preferred to hack out his lungs.
"I felt that was a better opener than 'you look like shit', or 'damn, how long have you been decomposing up there?'. Don't speak ill of the dead and all that."Bookmarked by AsterBun

Summary
Frankly, he didn't care. He didn't care that he was insane. He didn't care that his dream was insanity.
His mind burned monthly, weekly, daily, hourly from the still-energized quill, and he was going to spread that hellfire over the world.
Chaos energy could have saved her, and more. Kids could have been kids. Maria’s survival could have kept him sane. Instead, it would be his secret special touch to the weapon G.U.N. stupidly built for him.
You wanted to fear Shadow? I'll give you a reason to. You wanted to fear me, I'll vindicate your paranoia.Bookmarked by AsterBun
