“How do I explain?” Eren murmured. “You know how they all think we’re back together, right?”

“What if we played into it?”
or - A year has passed since the fateful night Armin and Eren ended things for good; but that isn't enough to stop them from ruining everything after a few drinks at a party and the discovery of an unlocked guest room down the hall. So, to keep their friends off their backs, they agree to fake date until the consequences of their stupidity eventually blow over. They'd bond, maybe patch up their crumbling friendship, and turn this whole thing into an inside joke within a year or two.
Perfect. Easy. What could possibly go wrong, right?

Summary
Armin may have the potential to be a prodigy violinist, he's even part of first string in Trost University's chamber orchestra. Yet all he wants is to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, and maybe even get a job related to marine life. But all his plans go awry in one fateful night when his best friend, and celloist, Krista, invites him to her girlfriend's band’s very first gig. There he meets the charismatic rhythm guitarist and unclean vocalist, Eren Yaeger who may or may not have many skeletons in his closet.

Summary
When they're young and naive, friendship blossoms easily between Eren Jaeger and Armin Arlert. But, as time passes, feelings begin to shift. Eren finds himself dating his sister's best friend, while Armin can't quite shake the thought that it should be him Eren is dating. After years of pining and fruitless hoping, Armin finally comes clean about his crush on the day of their high school graduation. Time is not on the boys' side and once summer vacation ticks to a close Eren is shipped off to Army Basic Training while Armin finds himself furthering his school career. Distance isn't kind, and, inevitably, the relationship falls apart. Eight years pass slowly without Eren to lean on, but Armin treks on. Though he's plagued by grief, he continues living the best he can. Slowly, he finds hope in old friends and begins to build himself up as an individual without clinging to the memory of Eren.
That is until Eren's life violently collides with Armin's own when he moves into the apartment next door.
Ultimately, Armin is left with his toughest decision thus far, does he fight tooth and nail to stay away from Eren and regain the independence he lost, or does he throw himself back into the fire he just narrowly escaped?
