Summary
Everything about this was so damn complicated. It was objectively a terrible time. It was the best time he's got, and the only chance he'd had since he met Isami. Isami barely knew him. He was closer to Isami than anyone else on the ship. He knew what he wanted. He had no idea what he wanted this to look like. More than that, it broke all his own rules.
Before the ATF makes landfall in Japan, Lewis gets to thinking about what happens if nobody on the ship gets another chance to make the most out of life. He's faced with a decision - does he confess to Isami, or protect their friendship? He only has one night to make his choice.
