The way you say goodbye can have serious repercussions, both for you, and those you leave behind...and Wilbur tends to leave gaping holes in even the things he claims to love, when he abandons them.
Quackity wanted to grace us with lore that would have positively exuded angst like a heavy perfume: it should have been turned into incense upon the altar of Wilbur's shrine to Hamilton - after all, wasn't part of his story an affair?

Wilbur, did you seriously leave Tommy alone in the wilderness...next to water...without you...with Dream running around loose? This starts from that moment of abandonment, and ties in the rest of the lore prior to 12 September 2022: Sam Bucket; Dream meeting Foolish; and a certain adorable, hyperactively dedicated British historian with great hair having just learned about the Golden Book of Amun-Ra...oops, wrong fandom, I mean the Revive Book... >:)
Season Two DSMP preamble(?) meets the Mummy (trigger warning for horror movie level violence), and I'm also throwing in a little something from one of my favorite authors - it should be obvious...as plain as the mask on his face.

Be careful what you wish for: Dream reviving Ranboo could go horribly wrong, because he wasn't exactly sane before George broke his heart; a return to the bad old days could be so much worse than just the Dream SMP tendency to recycle plotlines and tropes; and a Revengers / Syndicate crossover event would probably be very, very destructive...
Basically, this is Dream getting even with a whole lot of people, incorporating fresh canon lore (as of early April 2022); some very popular fanon expectations (fried mushrooms, anybody?) and desires; and for some reason, a little pinch of Disney, and a hint of appreciation for a much more talented fan than me, who deserves <3 <3 <3, and a little gold statue from both worlds...see if you can catch it. :)

Summary
Dream's diabolical dabbling in deferring death has damaged a fundamental part of nature: but has it also damned the thus delivered DSMP denizens, due to desperately doctored documents? Like it or not, Kristin has a job to do, and the continued well-being of those revived may depend on exactly how far they're willing to go, to keep each other alive...despite their previous intentions to stab each other in the back, literally and figuratively.
Also, karma's really a bitch, when you act more evil after being revived than you were during your original canon lives...Wilbur...
This is the continuation of the Linwood AU: if you haven't read the other story arcs first (Requiem for Dream; A Game of Hearts; House of Cards; and optionally (?) Padre Alex and Chips Off the Old Block), a lot of this won't make sense.
