Summary
In the late 90s Jared and Jensen were selected to become part of the boy band Sync’D, which was manufactured to be a success. They soon became global heartthrobs, living the dream and crushing the hearts of teenage girls. But behind the scenes, the pressure was suffocating - especially for Jared and Jensen, who had to hide their feelings for each other to preserve their image.
When the band breaks up Jensen becomes a successful solo singer, but Jared doesn’t have the same luck as his former bandmate. He feels he has no place in Jensen’s new superstar life anymore, so he quietly withdraws and eventually disappears completely. Years later, Jensen still suffers from Jared’s disappearance, having simply no idea where he may be. Dean stepped forward again, a strange kind of patience in the action, and Sam flattened himself back against the car, hands up, knife in the left just a useless afterthought at this point. “No, Dean, wait! You can— There’s something else we can do.”
Dean sneered at him, but he just shifted his weight to his other hip, didn’t go for Sam again immediately, and that was something at least. “Oh yeah?” He said it like he was humoring him, probably thought he was letting Sam stall for his own amusement. “And what’s that?”
Sam straightened a little, made himself look Dean right in the eyes, and most of all, did not let himself think. “You can fuck me.”
