Summary
It's a slightly different story, an experiment I've had in mind for a while. Each chapter is set in a different year, tracing the history of Colin and Penelope, from friends to lovers. In every chapter, Colin will have a moment of confrontation with a different member of his family (friends included), slowly coming to terms with his true feelings for Pen and seeing them for what they are.
Of course, Penelope is also in every chapter, and they will continually interact, with their relationship evolving until their love becomes undeniable.

Summary
Penelope Featherington is the eldest of her two sisters, it being her third season out, she has the pressure of marriage being pushed onto her by her overbearing Mother. Her sisters being married off one by one, Penelope doesn’t think it’s ever going to happen for her - believing that she is bound to be a spinster for the rest of her life - she concludes that the only romance she will ever experience is in the pages of the books she reads. That is, until the closed-off Mr. Colin Bridgerton arrives back in Mayfair from his tour across Europe in search of a wife. Their equal intention of seeking a match causes their families to set an arrangement of marriage between them. After all, they have lived right across the square from each other for years.
