Summary

When the daughter of a powerful industrial family suddenly disappears alongside her known longtime companion from the Satellite, Security fears a politically explosive kidnapping case. Yusei Fudo and Akiza Izinski were brought in to assist investigating before tensions between New Domino and Satellite spiral out of control once again.
But the truth proves far more complicated.

Summary
Roman Torchwick, criminal extraordinaire! Finds 2 tools, used and discarded by others and makes them feel like people again. In doing so earning their undying loyalty. Two people, so very different, yet so similar. One a mute human, the other a talkative faunus. When he took them in he had not expected these two to grow on him like they did, but together they make an unbeatable triple threat that shakes the Canon.
Basically: Instead of only one kid, that being Neo, Roman happens upon two instead. He takes both of them in and they grow into a dynamic triple threat. This story is currently planned to just cover the canon appearances of Roman and Neo during the events between VOL 1 and 3. I might expand this story to eventually dive into their complete story before the events of RWBY and go beyond the point of Torchwick’s demise. But that’s all stuff for future me, for now. Summary
It has been a few weeks since Team RWBY and Jaune returned from the Ever After, the experience has shaken them but they have slowly adapted to life back on Remnant. They had gotten used to the new normal, patrolling the refugee camps, dealing with small Grimm incursions and preparing for Salem's inevitable arrival. But their new relative calm is shaken as an enemy thought to be dealt with starts to stir once more.
