It was far too warm for a normal rainy night.
Even the harsh winds that blew in the mouth of the cave felt like heat from an intense fire. Not to mention how the few minuscule drops that managed to touch the younger of the brother’s hands and face had felt more like fresh embers from a fireplace.
The boy’s rainy night wasn’t normal. To be fair they weren’t exactly in Connecticut. That much was clear.

A clap of thunder rang outside. Followed by a fearful whimper to the left of Philip Wittebane.
