Summary
After a disastrous school year of bullying and terror in Unova that culminated in an unceremonious, unwilling coming out to her father, 14-year-old Helia Brillante and her mother move to Paldea for a fresh start. Helia isn't so sure how 'fresh' of a start it will really be - she's prepared to face the same, if not worse, at Uva Academy.
But as the first day of the school year dawns, everything begins to change, as she meets new faces that might just become far more than lifelong friends, and, as she begins to realize, something even stranger is beginning to emerge - from within her. Otherworldly music echoes in her heart, and the strange Pokémon she's dreamed of all her life suddenly seem much too clear. Helia has good reason to be afraid, and yet... this change is a chance, too. It's a chance to break her chains, to become the flower she's always been meant to be. That chance is left to Helia to seize - but not, perhaps, without a little help along the way.

For as summer ends and fall comes upon Paldea, far more than the season is about to change, and right at the heart of it all is Helia Brillante.
