After the war Sunstar was left with 3 lives and no guidance. She lost her deputy Slatehallow who died protecting his apprentice Stormypaw who became the medicine cat; he was too scared to unsheathe his claws for violence afterwards. With Slatehallow’s death Shadowclan never received another deputy until the war ended. When Fallencry was chosen as the new deputy. It took many moons for Shadowclan to mentally recover from the events of the war. Shadowclan decided it would be best if they never went back to Starclan and cut contact with the other clans. They didn’t care to worry about the other clans, including their allies windclan. Warriors were not required to follow the code but many still did believing that they would still end up in Starclan if they did. There were many clan members that had some horrible injury, though they couldn’t retire early they had to continue serving until they couldn’t anymore. Though there is one clan that has Starclan on their side.
