Jayce gets out of a meeting, stressed and sick of politics, only to find Viktor passed out in their lab. He manages to convince his partner to leave and stay over his apartment, but with the man so close, Mr. Progress finds it hard to keep his distance and hide his feelings.

Summary
On his best days, Viktor responds with quick wit and enough complicated words to make them stumble and stammer and go red with embarrassment. Those are Jayce’s favorite days.
But other days, Viktor seems more candlelight than bonfire. Everyone has to break eventually.
“You’re so fucking smart. So much smarter than me. The strongest person I know, and you’re going to change the whole damn world. And I think they know that.”
He pauses.
“Viktor, I think they’re terrified of you.”

Viktor always held a special disdain for the type of party he was currently attending.
Well, if he was truly honest he held a special disdain for any type of party. Especially if he were to be surrounded by the kind of people he was with now. Not just the usual small minded Pilties, but these were the so called scientists of Piltover. Not much different than the latter, but they did tend to have larger-than-average egos

Jayce never handled winters well. He could still feel the frigid winds slicing his face. He could still hear his mother’s dying ragged breaths. The fear never truly left him from that day in the blizzard; it simply went dormant.
Or
Jayce and Viktor get snowed in while on a research trip. Jayce doesn’t handle it well.
