After Weirdmageddon, the twins went back home for the school year. Stan continued to work the Mystery Shack, with Soos and Wendy still working there. Ford lived at the Shack and didn't do a lot. He needed some time to get used to things after the pattern of one disaster after another stopped and things became calm.
Things became normal--as normal as Gravity Falls could get. But it was the end of May, which meant the school year was over. And where do the Pine Twins get sent again? Back to good ol' Gravity Falls, Oregon.
Except this time, things are calm. Ordinary. No weird, world-ending space anomalies are trying to destroy Earth. And with that, ordinary things happen. But even Dipper manages to mess that up.
Because getting a crush on Pacifica Northwest, who he was only supposed to be fake dating, is anything but normal.
