Summary
Kate, a teacher in her thirties arrives to Gravity Falls in 1998, looking for a tranquil life. She meets a gruff but kind man, Stan, that is willing to help her settle in and renovate the old house she had inherited in town. Kate battles the rumors about Stan and slowly allows him into her life, a cautious friendship blooming that will turn into silent pining.
This story will cover Kate's arrival to Gravity falls in 1998 and how her friendship with Stan develops as well as their feelings. The story will jump to summer of 2012 post Weirdmageddon, where Kate will face Stan's real identity and will meet Ford and everything that was unleashed post Bill. Will Kate and Stan come to uncover their true feelings? Will Kate be able to forgive Stan's lies?
I like my slowburns slow, but it eventually picks up a bit. We're officially in post Weirdmageddon! I try to update every Friday/Saturday!

Chapter 47 - 1/23 (tentative)Bill, no longer a demon, has to learn how to navigate being human, all while living in the Mystery Shack with the people he hoped to never see again.
Ford is unsure what to think, not able to associate the Bill he sees now, with the Bill he used to know. He finds that he's starting to enjoy the mans presence. Love starts to bloom as the two find themselves investigating a mysterious anomaly.
The forest doesn't feel right, the local flora is acting strange. Something lurks in the darkness, waiting for the right moment to strike.

The Axolotl knows somewhere deep down some how there is a sliver of goodness inside Bill Cipher. (At least in .7% of the different timelines that could occur in this universe) and the Axolotl is way to much of an optimist to let that potential go to waste. In a last ditch effort to save Bill's soul the Axolotl decides to arrange a sort of out patient rehab situation for Bill including a brand new body, free rent at the mystery shack and whole lot of unwanted human experiences. And not ten minutes into outpatient Bill decides he'd rather suffer through psychobabble with D-SM5 than have to avoid eye contact with Ford. But it'll be fine. Probably.

The deal? Bill gets to live out a specific amount of time only known to the Axolotl (described as the time needed for him to be ready for rehabilitation, which good luck with that because he is living forever in that case) as a fleshy semi-human. Sounds pretty good so far. He gets some basic powers like fire, healing, levitation, ect.
And in exchange he has to be Stanford Pines' Personal Guardian "Angel".
It would have been a particularly cruel joke if the Axolotl hadn't looked so serious with its adorable puppy dog-esque mouth. Strange paw-hand pushed up near its approximation of a temple in a grimace while it waited for Bill to stop laughing.
"This is your last chance, Bill. I'll give you time to think about it." And then it was gone.

It is 2012, and Dipper and Mabel have been sent off to Gravity Falls, Oregon to live with their Grunkle Stan for the summer. They're expecting a boring summer up there, but the supernatural happenings common to Gravity Falls will make this a summer to remember. Luckily, Dipper's brought a tape recorder to record everything that they come across...
What if there were other powers at work in Gravity Falls beyond just Bill Cipher? What if the true powers behind it all were more familiar to the Archives crew of a certain Institute across the pond?
What if Gravity Falls ran on the rules of the Magnus Archives universe instead of the rules of Weirdness?
This is primarily going to be a Gravity Falls work - it just uses the lore and logic of the Magnus Archives universe. Don't expect the Archives crew to show up except perhaps as a passing mention.
It is also a quite slow-paced fic by my own admission. About three to four chapters per episode of Gravity Falls.
Tends to update once a week between Sunday and Wednesday - but since the second I make that a hard deadline I'm gonna start procrastinating and rushing in that order; just take that as a vague idea instead.
