Summary
I want to blame and dedicate this to my friend whose floor I slept on the night this monstrosity was dreamt into creation. For a little context, as I am writing the first chapter of this I have finished the first season of the wonderful Magnus Archives, this dream happened before I really got into it and had only listened to episodes 1-3 in a kitchen with my friend however I still managed to dream of the whole crew. Please note due to my lack of knowledge of later seasons this will likely go against canon for a few chapters, it may be edited to be canon-compliant in future however I think it more likely all Magnus Archive fics will exist in my own version of the universe. This fanfic will probably derail and for that, I will not apologise. However, please at least enjoy the initial statement as what comes next nobody knows. May end up with some graphic content in terms of violence and gore. Each will have warnings applied in the chapter notes

It is 2012, and Dipper and Mabel have been sent off to Gravity Falls, Oregon to live with their Grunkle Stan for the summer. They're expecting a boring summer up there, but the supernatural happenings common to Gravity Falls will make this a summer to remember. Luckily, Dipper's brought a tape recorder to record everything that they come across...
What if there were other powers at work in Gravity Falls beyond just Bill Cipher? What if the true powers behind it all were more familiar to the Archives crew of a certain Institute across the pond?
What if Gravity Falls ran on the rules of the Magnus Archives universe instead of the rules of Weirdness?
This is primarily going to be a Gravity Falls work - it just uses the lore and logic of the Magnus Archives universe. Don't expect the Archives crew to show up except perhaps as a passing mention.
It is also a quite slow-paced fic by my own admission. About three to four chapters per episode of Gravity Falls.
Tends to update once a week between Sunday and Wednesday - but since the second I make that a hard deadline I'm gonna start procrastinating and rushing in that order; just take that as a vague idea instead.

Now there's a new secret group. Leaving notes everywhere. There are strange figures in the woods and she needs to help get to the bottom of it, to keep her friends safe.

Smirke's 14 model of fear categorization is the most widely accepted system in paranormal academia. However, the 6-24C model, developed in early 1800s in the western United States, is used alongside the S14 model by the Usher Foundation, both due to the Foundation being created with the local system in mind and the special way that the 6-24C system handles fear.
