Mav’s in the mess hall when he finds out.
Ice strides over to him while Mav is mid-chew of his chilli, and just shoves a bit of paper at him. "You might want to read this," he said before turning right back around the way he came and leaving without even eating. Mav swallows his mouthful of food, and picks up the bit of paper. It looked like some kind of memo; Mav knows they were only sent for urgent communications, sent across all departments.
His eyes flit over the words written in neatly punched typeface and his mouth parts in shock.
