    “Tartaglia, you are being reassigned.”

Excitement pumps through Childe’s veins as the words are uttered, his casual smile widening into an ecstatic grin. For it to be the Tsaritsa passing this mission along to him directly rather than Pierro– it must be high-stakes.

“You will be going to Liyue,” she says, “to enter a courtship with Rex Lapis.”

    What?

Childe swallows harshly, his tongue feeling thick in his mouth.

“Your Majesty, I believe there may be a misunderstanding.”

More like an impossibly large oversight to this whole plan. “Rex Lapis and I… we are not on the best of terms, at the moment.” That’s putting it lightly, though saying as much to his Queen feels immensely childish, and shame surely paints his face a burning red hue. “I do not think he would be pleased to receive me.”

Her expression does not change, and she only answers him with patience. “On the contrary, he has specifically requested you.”

    Summary

The dragon’s face was flushed, his eyes becoming more reptilian as Wriothesley sat there. The duke noticed a slight tremble in his hand, the Iudex’s breath becoming more and more shallow. It was unusual.

“Wriothesley, this tea… I… I think this tea is an aphrodisiac. I feel like I am… going… into some sort of… faux heat…” Neuvillette’s voice was broken, a small whine slipping in here and there.

    Oh.

    Oh he may be right.

Clorinde gifts her friend a tin of tea for his birthday. When Wriothesley returns home, he immediately brews it to try with the cake Neuvillette has ready when arrives. Unknown to both, the tea is a powerful aphrodisiac that affects them for hours. Wriothesley swears it was the best birthday he will ever have.

    Summary

“Sometimes, I think you’re reading my mind when you look at me like that,” Childe says.

Zhongli startles—because he could do that, if he wanted. It is no trouble to peer into a mortal’s mind and read their thoughts like words on a page.

“I wonder what you’d make of my thoughts,” Childe continues, playing with his chopsticks, making them dance across the table as he watches Zhongli. “Would you read my mind if you could, Mr. Zhongli?”

Zhongli uncovers the depths of Childe's desire when he reads Childe's mind.

    Summary

    “You are aroused,” Neuvillette observes.

A strangled noise catches in Wriothesley’s throat. “You can’t just say that.”

“No?” Neuvillette cants his head to the side, though the gesture is meaningless in the darkness of the box, with Wriothesley’s forehead against the wall of it.

“People don’t—” Wriothesley exhales heavily. “I’m trying not to make you uncomfortable.”

After Neuvillette and Wriothesley volunteer to help Lyney and Lynette with a magic trick, they find themselves trapped in a box. They make do with their situation.

“Do people truly like wearing a collar and a leash while they are being intimate with each other?” Neuvillette asks.

The question is so stunning, so shocking, that Wriothesley doesn’t really answer at first. He says, “Mm,” as he turns the page of his book, a thick, musty old tome about Remurian architecture. And then Neuvillette’s words actually process, and he freezes in the process of turning the page. “I—You—Collars and leashes?” Wriothesley asks, floored.

A book inspires Neuvillette to take the lead with Wriothesley.
