Summary
An unprecedented, sweltering heatwave has brought the entire Palace of Kou to a grinding halt. Even the Magicians' cooling spells have failed, leaving Koumei no choice but to declare an official day off.
Deeply miserable and unable to sit still, Hakuryuu wanders out into the gardens to find Judar sprawling under a willow tree. What starts as a lazy afternoon spent sharing cold watermelon and hiding in the shade quickly turns into chaotic banter when the other Magi show up—and spirals even further when Hakuryuu's light summer attire triggers Judar's surprisingly deep, possessive jealousy.

Sequel to "Unnatural Selection"
The Kou Empire demands an heir, the high council demands tradition, and Judar is still "just" a Beta. When political pressures reach a boiling point, Judar tries to run, only to realize that Hakuryuu would burn his own legacy to the ground before letting him go.
When an impossible, magoi-induced miracle leaves Judar carrying the Emperor’s child, he is forced to face his physical limits and his own deepest insecurities about parenthood. -

Passing out under the sun amidst a heatwave was already bad enough.
Waking up in pain hours later was definately worse. Now Judar is stuck in bed, glowing bright red, completely miserable, and—worst of all—unable to touch or be touched without his skin feeling like it’s on fire. But seeing Hakuryuu just as miserably sunburnt, equally desperate, and struggling to keep his hands to himself makes the whole painful disaster oddly satisfying.
