Summary
Usually, his best ideas come at late hours when everyone is asleep and the only sound is the tapping of keys. Though lately, the satisfying symphony of flowing words has been harder to come by. Instead, he finds himself craving a different symphony that involves the crescendo of Betty’s moans along with the tempo of their skin slapping together with every one of his sharp thrusts.
It’s not new information that he focuses better when she is around. Something about his girlfriend just inspires all of his best ideas. She’ll always be the first to hear his ideas and read over his work. Jughead would be lying if he said he wasn’t aroused when she would give him such articulate and well-thought critiques. While she is a big influence in his writing process, he never expected their sexual relationship to be an added factor.
Then again, neither of them seem to be complaining about this new development which was discovered completely by accident.
Or, Betty inspires Jughead in more way than one

“What do you mean you can’t find him???” Betty asked, exasperated, pacing back and forth in the dressing room of the church. “We are supposed to get married in an hour and you lost my fiance?! How does that even happen, Archie?!”
“I don’t know! He was at the hotel this morning when I got up but then when it was time to come here, he was just-- gone. He isn't answering his phone and... God, I’m so sorry Betty. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for him disappearing. I know Jug and I know how much he loves you, he would never leave you like this,” Archie tried to reassure her but she could see the doubt in his eyes even as he said it. That voice in her head started to grow louder, allowing her worst fear to start taking hold.

Jughead let out a heavy sigh.
He was frustrated.
Maybe it had something to do with the bunkers stale atmosphere or the general lack of sunlight that he'd been deprived of over the last twelve days, but no matter how hard he tried, sleep alluded him.
He tossed and turned beneath the cots rough, cheap blankets, eventually kicking them away until the soft, freshly washed dark blue and black tartan comforter, Betty had brought for him was the only thing covering his body.
He closed his eyes and pressed the fabric to his nose, breathing in the scent that still lingered on it.
Soft hints of vanilla ... and something uniquely sweet ... the same smells that brought back memory after memory and always filled him with a sense of comfort and familiarity.
He already knew why.
It smelt like her ... his girlfriend.
His Betty.
The one person in the world he wished was with him right now.

Summary
Keeping up the act was taxing, even for one with as strong a mind and will as Betty Cooper.
In that split second that Jughead had almost died, she had almost caved in on herself. They were both lucky that they had been quick to respond. Betty, once coming back to herself, directed Archie to start chest compressions and Veronica to stop Jughead’s bleeding. After so many compressions, Betty administered Jughead a rescue breath, pleading and pleading for him to wake up. She couldn’t lose him. She just couldn’t.
She thought she’d done it, for a while, as Jughead was barely conscious enough to tell them not to go to a hospital. She cried tears of joy when he came back into consciousness even though she was already crying and panicking. Jughead had fallen unconscious again, but now they knew he had a fighting chance against death. He’d shed a lot of blood from a cut on his forehead, a cut that Veronica had been tasked with keeping pressure on. She was holding Jughead’s own beanie to his forehead.
