Andrew keeps his eyes straight ahead as he shrugs. “Do whatever you want.”
It shouldn’t hurt so much, to bear the brunt of Andrew’s indifference, but it does, and he aches to have those intense eyes on him again, to elicit any kind of reaction out of him, anything real. Look at me, he silently begs. At least look at me.
Or, Andrew is acting cold toward Neil and Neil has feelings about it, most of them not very happy.

"...definitely toxic. I mean, Andrew drives him everywhere, drags him out of parties early, doesn't let him talk to anyone else... I overheard Aaron telling Kate that Andrew picks Neil's clothes out for him, that's controlling as shit."
"Yeah, more like emotionally abusive. I don't get why the others don't do anything about it, though, like, if there was even a chance Neil would listen to me I'd be trying to rescue that poor boy."
"He probably doesn't even realize he needs rescuing, though, right? Like, that's how abusive relationships work. Besides, you know what his life's been like, with parents like his he might not know what a healthy relationship even looks like. And the others are probably too scared of Andrew to intervene."
Or, Andrew overhears an unfortunate conversation and spirals.

I think this was a very good dive into Andrew’s brain and how he thinks. He really does have so much love and care in his heart, he just expresses differently than “the norm.” And to see how he would do anytbing to keep Neil safe, even if it was from himself. My heart🥺
I agree with Allison, they are soulmates through and through!

This was so beautiful! I want a whole 100k+ fic of them! How Andrew literally calls Neil his muse a the descriptions of the tattoos that Andrew has given them! How Neil is all self sacrificial (as always) and would rather never see Andrew again than put him and his family in danger. And then Andrew is like not on my watch and convinced him to stay. I log their dynamic in this!

Millport. Sounded like the name of a town him and his mother would melt into, hiding themselves among small town niceties and miles of empty stretches of road. As far as he could remember, he’d never been to a Millport. How much time was he missing?

So sweet! The last line - “I’ll always come back to you, Drew.” STOP MY HEART! The way Andrew was trying to hide how he was feeling but even though neil lost his memories he could still tell what Andrew was feeling. And how even though neil couldn’t remember, he felt such a connection to Andrew and still identified him as a safe place! And the relief Andrew felt when Neil finally got his memories back, his expression! MY BABY!
