The pink mer crooned again, adding on an extra, comforting trill to see if it’d get the pup to calm down.

It didn’t work and Techno arched his spine in preparation to pounce as the boy stiffened, clearly ready to dart away.

They hovered at a stalemate, bright blue staring into blood red before the golden pup bolted with a screech.

    Summary

Tommy could feel his presence behind him, keeping his mouth shut as a hand reached over, grasping the hand that had him in a grip, cutting the boy off from his words, like he had stolen them from his mouth himself.

“Who did this to you Theseus?” Muted gasps were shared as the drumming and whispers were joined by the howls of the hounds.

“All of them.” He whispered sadly, eyes unable to look away from the looks of hatred and betrayal. But there was no pity for them. They had made their beds and he knew that Techno would make them lie in them.

Tommy found his home in the forest. However his treatment from his own home will be their undoing when the Fae King unleashes the Wild Hunt.

“E-eyy! Blood God! My best friend! J-just getting into bed, don’t mind me!” Tommy scooted away from God, closer to his bed by the window.

One moment Blood God was by the door with a bunch of blankets that Tommy didn’t remember having, and the next Tommy was being wrapped in half of the said blankets on the God’s lap.

    Summary

Tommy can hear the sound of fire crackling, its warm, he’s wrapped in something soft, this is the most comfortable he’s ever been.

    And that’s the problem.

Tommy shot up. The room he’s in has ornate designs on the walls, a fireplace (weird, considering this seemed to be a bed room) a large bed, with fancy, expensive-looking pink, red, and gold sheets and blankets. And another thing, there was gold everywhere.

Tommy’s breath shot up, as thoughts of what the fuck, what the fuck, where am I, how did i get here. Tommy can’t breathe, his head hurts, his chest is tight, his thoughts are a blur. He can't think. He can’t breathe. He can’t-

“Shh,” a deep, unfamiliar voice shot through Tommy’s blur of thoughts, and Tommy was pulled into a hug, “match your breaths to mine, in… and out—“ Tommy is still struggling to even breathe— ”Focus on my voice, in… and out, in… and out—“ Tommy’s breath slows, “you’re ok, focus on my voice.”

    Summary

Things were weird. They didn't talk about it.

Macaque was coming by again. The first time had been at night, so soon after they'd both been freed that the ground around them was still littered with jagged ice stalagmites, now inert. They were already melting. They would be gone on their own eventually.
Wukong watched him pummel one into slush.
After a minute, he wordlessly stepped out and helped crush them to puddles with their bare hands. The extent of her influence left the two of them working for the better part of an hour before they could no longer see any on the horizon. Their work done, Macaque had slunk back into the shadows.

But he came back. Again, at night. He kept to the trees, nosing into his scarf and whiling the night away reclined and stealing whatever fruit grew at hand. He didn't sleep. Wukong would have been a hypocrite to bring it up. He was gone again come morning, always seeming to slip away when Wukong had his eyes off him.

Night five of that, and Wukong left the shack door ajar.

Night seven, and Macaque came inside.
