Summary
When Chuuya decides to help a woman with her groceries, he never would’ve expected her to be his mother. But alas, life rarely goes according to plan for the mafia executive and suddenly he has to come to terms with his parents not only being alive, but also still missing him till this day.
Thankfully, he has his husband with him to work through this and reconnect with his family.Or:
Chuuya unknowingly helps his mother with grocery shopping and freaks out a little. A day after, he and Dazai visit her to introduce themselves properly.

In learning how to feel happiness, Dazai gets the chance to finally live the childhood he never got to have. Maybe there is no greater meaning to life, but that’s something he has to figure out for himself. This is a story of healing, learning to love, and acceptance, in every sense of the words.
Inspired by all the “de-aging” fics out there that use time travel to deal with the trauma these kids went through (which I absolutely adore!) Time moves forward, and they can’t change the past, but it’s never too late to start to heal.

Dazai’s eyes drop to the phone held in Ranpo’s tight grip to the uncompromising set of his jaw, mentally weighting his options.
“That’s fair,” he huffs, holding up his palm in a ‘gimme’ motion. “I guess if it’s Ranpo-san, I can make an exception.”
Or, Ranpo is the only member of the Agency Dazai is not allowed to ignore or hang up on. Naturally, when the day finally comes, Ranpo knows, with inevitable dread, to expect the worst. He's right to.

Mori stands up, walking over to see the empty cup of matcha resting on the armrest, curled loosely in one hand, and Dazai sound asleep. He’s so small like this, lost in the big clothing, the couch he’s on.
Not for the first time, Mori wonders what he’d do if he wasn’t head of the mafia. If he’d still find Dazai. If he could help him with more than stitches and hot tea.
