Summary
"The North?" Edward asked incredulously, gaping at the order.
"Yes, Fullmetal, the North. There's an outpost fifty kilometers from the Drachman border, and the previous person stationed there has taken an abrupt leave for around a month or so. Führer Bradly himself has ordered that you see to looking after it until around January when she comes back from her leave." Mustang looked at him with slight irritation over his stack of neglected and overdue paperwork, as if he couldn't believe Edward was angry over being sent halfway across the country.

Summary
Edward Elric would die before he was thirty, of that he was sure. It had been seven years since he came to that conclusion—he'd sold his soul and made a deal with the devil to preserve someone else's life. Yet as his borrowed time ran out, Edward realized he'd do it all again. If this were the personal hell he'd been allotted, he'd live it a thousand times over to save Al's life. Because Al was his little brother, and he was all Edward had left.

After escaping Germany in 1916, Edward goes against everything he once thought he knew and becomes a criminal to protect and provide for Alphonse. Seven years later, he gets caught up in a string of murders after foolishly attending university. The deeper he gets, Edward's web of lies comes crashing down, because a life built on spider silk can never last. -

Summary
Edward Elric was the talk of the courts, being a Knight at only fifteen years old, but he wasn't the person they'd created in their heads while he was hidden from the public eye. When he's accused of heresy during the Inquisition, no one steps in to help. But after murdering a man in front of a crowd and escaping into the catacombs, the heresy and even murder charges are the least of his worries.
