Summary
A rumor had spread around the higher ups of Eastern command, one so exciting that every colonel and brigadier general was buzzing around the command trying to get a lick of what everyone had been whispering about.
It was a very undercover operation, but Roy has ears everywhere.
Apparently there were incredibly powerful alchemists, two brothers that went rogue. It was rumored that the men were masters of the science; they had been hiding out in some tiny farming town. And when some officer had gone off to try and recruit them, instead he had found the aftermath of two human transmutations and much more depravity in the burnt remnants of their small cottage. The alchemists were nowhere to be found.
Now every power hungry officer in Eastern Command wanted to catch the alchemists and claim the biggest promotion of a lifetime. However there was nothing else to aid in the search for the brothers, hell it was still up to debate if there were two people. Risembool was a tight lipped town and the house, the site of their crime, was mostly a pile of ash.
But Roy is going to be fuhrer

In front of him, Scar screamed as his clothes went up in a blaze of fire, despite the water coming down around them. He hadn’t done that.
“Did I hit it?” Someone asked behind the crowd of military.
“Yeah. Good job, Musashi.” A guard dressed in white agreed.In a bid to escape Nanba Prison, Zakuro carved out an alchemical array, that transports nearly a dozen inmates to Amestris.
To round them up before the Warden finds out, the guards team up with the Amestrian military.
What follows changes the future of Amestris forever. And the lives of the inmates. -

When Roy held out his hand, Ed hesitated for a long time.
This could be some horrible ploy—some last-ditch effort from his stupid social worker to get him into a house that could deal with him. Roy was a police officer. He was a war veteran. He knew how to get people to do what he wanted.
On the other hand, Edward knew Roy. He knew how he liked his coffee and that sometimes he liked to procrastinate on his reports and that he liked to shoot goo-goo eyes at Riza. He knew what Ed’s favorite books were, and he knew about Al. He knew, intimately, what Ed went through.

Post-promised day life for 22-year-old Edward is amazing. He’s married to Winry, has two kids named after Maes and Nina, and even though he kept his automail, he’s never been happier. When his CO calls him in to meet some strange man -he thinks the name is Bumblebee?- and gets him hired at a magic school to teach self-defense and alchemy, Ed thinks that this is when the peace finally ends.
Harry finds himself getting more worried for his fourth year of school. After the events at the Quidditch World Cup, which was just the other day, he can’t help but wonder if You-Know-Who is really coming back. There are two new professors, one insisting that they need to learn about the Unforgivable Curses while being paranoid over every little mishap and the other taking things slow and having them learn the Periodic Table of all things.
Oh, and the tri-wizard tournament is happening this year and Harry's competing. No big deal, right?

It has barely been a few months since the newest order was issued, but unlike the rest of the war, news of the Flame spread fast. A murderer, a monster, a killer. Since the order Trisha took it to try to make Al look more Amestrian, Ed was okay in terms of passing, not the best but he only held one identifiable feature. Al was much more easily recognized— ruby eyes bearing into anyone who saw him. While Resembool would cover for them, Amestris wouldn’t. Most importantly Trisha hoped her boys would never meet the Flame Alchemist.”
Edward still joins the military, Al is still a suit of armour, it’s seemingly the same as it is. But something is different. Their pasts merge together with the pasts of those in the military, each experiencing the same events, their pasts interconnected.

Edward glances at his Colonel, quirks a brow, then tastes the blood on his lips, smacking them together.
"Just giving a taste of revenge."
If Roy could move freely, Edward imagines the man would be rubbing his face in exasperation.
“Didn’t you undergo the kidnapping drill?! That’s not how you should act!”
Edward rolls his eyes.
“Big words from someone with a butcher knife in your fucking thigh.”
It's Mustang's turn to roll his eyes.
“I’m your superior officer, Fullmetal. You’re under my care. Do not. Do that again.”
The young alchemist glares at him, brows furrowed, clearly annoyed by this whole conversation.
“I’m not letting them beat us without a fight. Fuck. Off.”
They glare at each other for at least a minute or two. Then, realising further argument is pointless, Mustang’s shoulders relax just a bit, breaking the contact.
"You are incorrigible."
Edward snorts, lets his head drop, and spits out the blood.Roy Mustang and Edward Elric, jailed in a room, kidnapped, are forced to deal with their urge to protect. To sacrifice.

They knew his brother, Alphonse, silver and massive, towering over his big brother, face steel and unmoving.
They knew, Ed didn’t think they had any right to know, but they did nonetheless,
Ed knew they knew, that they stared, that they judged and whispered, he knew that they sneered and remarked.Ed knew cruelty from a young age, he knew man was naturally cruel, he knew that he was constantly in the spotlight, that he was always watched and admired and hated and judged. To Ed, who had learnt so well to ignore this, it was normal, it was just a fact of life, and Ed didn’t have the right to question a fact of life.
That hadn’t gone well for him last time, at least.
