Summary
In less than a week, Gideon would be surrounded at any moment by goggling children and fawning women, and their interactions would consist of Gideon winking at Harrow from over the heads of her entourage as she took endless selfies. It was excruciating to watch, but at the moment, felt preferable to watching Gideon awkwardly scratch her head and ask “How’s stall set-up going?” as if it would ever be possible for the two of them to have a normal conversation.

It’s Harrow’s last year selling bone jewelry at the Dominicus Renaissance Faire before she finishes her PhD. Summary
The “Partners Weekend” at Merrick Industries was a bit of a joke, and in more ways than one. Who actually had time to spend a long couples weekend with people you worked with? But Joe had slaved away too many hours at his desk to blow off his chance at a promotion just like that. Particularly when all he had to actually do for it was spend a weekend in some manor house in the English countryside with his colleagues.
Which led him to his current predicament: Who of his friends would agree to pose as his spouse for four days – and at one week’s notice?
Double fake-dating AU: Joe asks Quynh to pretend to be his wife for an important work social at Merrick Industries. Andy brings her good friend Nicky under a similar guise. Only of course none of them are actually straight, and of course none of them are willing to admit that.

He should have said a firm ‘no’ instead of sighing when Joe asked him to take Booker’s recently vacated spot as Mr November in the Old Guard’s Annual Sexy Calendar Shoot.He should have stopped Joe from talking about how the calendar is the Guard’s best-selling merchandise, instead of staring too long at Joe’s dimples.
Nicky should have insisted that he’s a bad model (because honestly, he is; he’s been told he had a charisma of a dementor by The Quibbler), instead of staring at Joe’s hand when it grabbed his wrist as he said: “I’ll be there with you, Nicky and I’ll have your back, just like you’ve got mine on the pitch. We’ll be beautiful together, I promise.” Dio, Joe’s fingers are so beautiful. He is beautiful.
Nicky said yes because Nicky is a weak man. Nicky was also, quite possibly, drunk.
