Eddie is very thankful that he still has on his sunglasses because Steve is showing more skin than Eddie has ever seen, even during his basketball days at Hawkins High. He’s wearing a white cropped Tears for Fears shirt and possibly the smallest blue shorts ever created. He’s got his hands on his hips and it draws Eddie’s attention to the scars lining his sides on full display. He’s almost wearing them like a badge of honor, refusing to cover them up like this. He wants people to know he fought and survived, it makes Eddie's stomach flip thinking about how that bravery was part of the reason he's even here.

And there Eddie is again, crowding right into Steve’s space, stealing all his air. “You doing this with me or do I have to get on my knees and beg?” He smiles when Steve sucks in a sharp breath. “Nah… I think that might suit you better, actually.”
Steve can feel his throat tightening up again, threatening to suffocate him. He almost wants to, to drop to his knees and just let Eddie humiliate him but, as always, he can fucking remember. His eyes close and he can remember looking up at Tommy H, doing his very fucking best, then being told not to get all weird about it. The memory stings and he brushes past Eddie, bumping his shoulder against him.
“You want me to tag the police station?” Steve says, whirling around with his arms wide. “I’ll tag the fucking police station.”
