    Eren can’t understand why this is such a shock to people – after all, he and Armin are just friends.

    Why does the fact that they're inseparable and plan to stay together for the rest of their lives make anyone assume romance is involved?

    And just because Eren thinks Armin is perfection personified it doesn't mean he has any special feelings for him.
