Summary
Needing to get back to their hotel following a tiresome meeting, Grace and Stratt find themselves in a car crammed with boxes of files and only one available seat.
Ryland Grace may have been better off facing the rain and thunder.

Summary
I wake up for the day to find my vision obscured by the pale yellow paper of a post-it note. Immediately, all of the blood in my body migrates south, getting me so hard so fast that I feel a little lightheaded. Inconvenient to say the least.
I pull the note off of my forehead with a groan and scan its contents.
11am. My office.

Summary
I mean, it’s a lot, right? I’ve just remembered that I’m on a spaceship, my planet is dying, and I’m about to die in an attempt to save it. I’ve just remembered who I am, for goodness’ sake. And now I’m wrestling with new questions, like whether I’m really the kind of guy who sleeps with his boss, knocks her up, and promptly peaces out to Tau Ceti. You know, as one does.
Just when Grace is starting to piece together what he's doing on the Hail Mary, he finds a note from Stratt that upends everything again.
Or: Leading up to the launch, Grace and Stratt make slightly different choices, and carry slightly different consequences to the ends of the earth and beyond the stars.

Summary
Ryland Grace died, a long time ago.
When he comes back, he doesn't recognize the face engraved in silver. He doesn't recognize the sound of his voice on tv. He doesn't recognize the smell of city air or the slow blink of traffic lights.
He doesn't recognize the man that media paints him to be.
He still feels the old familiar ache of death.
