Summary
Satoshi noticed the blood on the chair and floor, growing worried. “Do you have tampons?”
Arceus, how could Satoshi ask something like that so casually? Gou could barely talk about feminine products, and he’s the one who used them.
“Ran out.” Gou muttered. “I’ll go get some when the meds kick in.”
Satoshi looked at him like he was crazy, and then he looked stern. “You’re not going around like this. Hang on, maybe…” Satoshi grabbed his backpack off the top bunk bed and dug around. He beamed. “Ah, here!”
He held out a tampon.
A tampon.
Gou stared at it, and then at Satoshi.
“You…why do…what?”
Satoshi chuckled. “I’ve traveled around with a lot of different girls. It’s just a curtesy thing, be prepared and all. I didn’t think I had any left from my time in Alola but I guess I did.” He smiled. “I should probably restock though, for times like this.”
OR: Gou gets cramps and Satoshi is the best boyfriend ever.

Gou barely had time to process their antics as Serena let out a laugh and smiled at him, getting his attention. “It’s so good to finally meet you. Satoshi talked about you in his letters but it’s another thing to meet you in person. I can’t believe Satoshi finally found someone who caught his interest.” She teased, smiling mischievously at Satoshi.
“Hey, come on now, give me a break, I’m not that oblivious.” Satoshi complained.
Serena let out a scoffed, a smirk on her face. “Really? How long did we travel together for?”
Satoshi grumbled. “Fine, fair point.”

OR: Gou meets Serena, Bonnie and Clemont and deals with the jealousy that comes with knowing one of them used to have a big crush on Satoshi.

“We got some sushi- where’s Iris?” Satoshi frowned, looking around in confusion.
“Hmm, not sure.” Cilan told them innocently. No reason to spoil Iris’ fun.
Gou raised an eyebrow. “Weren’t you guys setting up stuff together-“
Just then, Iris jumped out from the bushes, wrapping her arms around Gou tightly from behind. “SURPRISE!” She exclaimed.
Gou vaguely heard Satoshi shout out in alarm before gaining tunnel vision.
He didn’t even notice he'd started screaming.
OR: Iris and Cilan visit the research lab, and all goes well until Iris decides to play a prank on Satoshi and Gou and scares them. Little did she know her practical joke would trigger a trauma response in Gou.

Gou bit his lip, decidedly not actually looking at Satoshi while he spoke. “Um…I know you said Paul was your rival, but…” He bit the bullet. “Is he also your ex or something?”
“What?” Satoshi sputtered, unable to stop his grin. “Of course not!” He wheezed.
Gou blushed a bit in embarrassment. “R-Really? Then why are you acting so weird around each other? There’s like…tension. Are you sure there wasn’t something there? It’s okay if there was, I’m not upset-“
“No, no, no,” Satoshi took a moment to calm his chuckles, smiling weakly. “Trust me Gou, it wasn’t like that. At all.”
Gou pouted, getting annoyed. “Then what was it like? I’ve met some of your rivals before, and it wasn’t like this.”
“It’s…complicated.” Satoshi settled on. “Look, I just, I didn’t expect to see him right now…here…”
Gou wasn’t stupid. “You mean with me?” He snapped.
OR: While visiting Satoshi's pokemon back at Professor Oak's lab, he's surprised to find Paul there working as Oak's assistant. A rival he's purposefully never told Gou about.
OR OR: It was only a matter of time before Gou learned about Chimchar.

“We’re going to find the best present that brainy twerp could ask for!” Jessie declared, tears rolling dramatically down her face.
James and Meowth were the same. “It’s going to be thoughtful, grand, and filled with nothing but love!” James snapped.
“And we won’t settle for anything less!” Meowth hissed.
OR: It's Satoshi and Gou's two-year anniversary, and Team Rocket want to make sure it's perfect, especially after learning about Gou's childhood.

Gou raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. “So you’re not going to lose it at my parents? Swear?”
“I swear.” Satoshi grasped Gou’s hands. “I know it’s gonna be messy but…” He sighed. “I’ll be good, I promise.”
Even if it made every fiber of his being burn with rage to even look at Gou’s parents, knowing what he knows now about them, he would be good.
For Gou’s sake, he would keep his anger on the inside.

Gou froze under the spotlight of the question. All of Satoshi’s friends were looking at him expectantly, waiting patiently to hear an answer that would please them.
“Um…” He winced. “I don’t really…celebrate Christmas?”
And there it was.
The dreadful, disgusting silence that Gou had been expecting since the day began.
OR: It's Christmas Eve and Satoshi's friends from Sinnoh have come to visit! Only problem? Gou hates Christmas.

"Well, were you aware that the kid they were talking about was Satoshi?"
