Summary
Essek has barely begun to cement his place in Caleb’s life when they bring Mollymauk Tealeaf back from the dead. Slowly, the three of them adapt together.
He would have scoffed at this, once upon a time. But now he kisses Caleb with something close to reckless abandon, breaking boundaries between the three of them again as Caleb has Mollymauk pinned to the bed, and Essek is leaning over him to kiss their wizard in question.
The three of them are well and truly connected. Light, he should be uncertain, but he is not.

Bookmarker's Notes
Real good! Minor canon divergence, but real good nonetheless. Halfway through though.

Summary
Lucien is defeated, Mollymauk gets a second chance and (gradually) his memories back. It's not easy to find yourself having missed so much. Being surrounded by the people who love you helps.
I'm bad at summaries, but basically, as much as I respect Tal's decisions about his characters, I think it would make for a more interesting story in terms of identity, love and all kinds of nuanced relationship beats if Kingsley didn't pop up. This is an attempt at it.

Summary
An envisioning of the ever-popular journey Caleb and Essek take to the T-Dock, exploring why Caleb chose Essek to join him, the internal struggle that would have taken place leading up to Caleb’s final decision, and the slow process of healing through a developing relationship.
---
At the narrow desk before him, at the centre of the room, sat Essek, straight backed and hands steepled, his form swallowed by the heaps of books and maps about him. His eyes were dark, rimmed with rings of exhaustion, his appearance unusually messy, the traces of finger tracks still visible through his hair.
"Hey," Caleb attempted to sound casual. //You sound like a dunce.//
