Summary
Tim, Damian, Jason, and Alfred all have summer birthdays. But celebrations also bring up some unwanted memories. And with Bruce back and a string of missing persons cases to solve, there's a lot more than presents to unpack.
This was just supposed to be a short interlude between "Seasons of Darkness, Seasons of Light" and the next fic, but it kind of got away from me. It's still very much "Seasons of Darkness, Seasons of Light: Verse Two"; we are hitting the same thematic notes, over and over again. (Also, I'm not your mom, so read whatever you want in whatever order you like, but this will make a lot more sense if you've read Seasons of Darkness, Seasons of Light first.)
The fic is complete, so I will be uploading quickly, probably several chapters a day.

Summary
At first, Alfred had not been surprised when school materials kept ending up in the manor’s mail. Many of them were still addressed to the Waynes, who had been dead for less than four months.
But this one was addressed, in crisp penmanship, to “Bruce Wayne c/o Mr. Alfred Pennyworth.”
The problem was that Bruce Wayne was no longer “in care of” Alfred. Bruce was with his uncle. A plan which everyone (except Bruce and the Waynes’ will) had agreed was for the best.

“Maybe it is time to ask for help.”
“Tried that already.” Dick hung his head over the arm of the sofa. “Pulled every ally we had away from their work before I learned that surprise! Gotham still needs a Batman.”
“And now she has one. But that doesn’t mean he can’t ask for help. And I wasn’t thinking of ‘allies,’ Master Dick. I was thinking of family.”
Bruce isn't dead, just lost in time. And Tim and Damian are finally . . . tolerating each other. But before they can get Bruce back, they'll need some help. Especially since the new string of thefts in Gotham is disturbingly bat-themed.
This story will also involve: Museums, MacGuffins, Feelings, Crying, Talking About Issues (just so much talking—this is like a case-fic if the case was the B-plot and talking about issues was the A-plot), Plot Twists, Unnecessary Clothes Shopping Scenes, Slow-burn Sibling Bonding, Characters Who Definitely Need Therapy But Aren't Getting It (Yet), and Pointless Literary References!
(Note: You probably don't need to have read "Redrawing the Lines" to understand this fic, but it does set up some of the characters' current relationships and why Damian is grounded.)
