Summary
After the one-sided argument between Rooster and Maverick in Top Gun: Maverick where Bradley tells Mav that no one would mourn him when he burns in, Goose's spirit grows angry and decides to show his son Maverick's memories from the original Top Gun film (some memories are canon while some are extra scenes that I added but set at the time of Top Gun 1986).
Rooster definitely gets an eye-opener as he sees the struggles that Maverick has been through in his life, the younger Bradshaw's perspective begins to slowly change...

So… this is my take on the Hargreeves’ days after. A (sorta) AU where they prevented all 4 apocalypses and were happy (apart from Five). He then goes on one final assignment to secure his own happiness, but while he’s away Reginald’s biggest secret is revealed. How will The Boy react?
Sorry if this story feels rushed or is badly written, it’s my first fic and I’ve been writing it for over 3 months now 😅
