Summary
Simon sticks his arm out of the window, the wind rushing between his fingers like running water. He leans his head closer to the frame, angling it so he can watch the night sky hover above them, holding them under its dome. He closes his eyes and breathes deep. The air hits the back of his throat and he knows this night will be one he clings to when he’s old and withered and longing for the freedom of youth, longing to be on the cusp of every great thing that will happen in his life, like he once was, like he is.
He slides his eyes open and he can feel Wille’s gaze. He smiles to himself, before shifting to return the look.

Simon and Wille drive around like normal teenagers on a date.

"What?"
"What if you dated me?" Simon repeats, and Wilhelm's breath catches in his throat. He says nothing, but Simon keeps talking.
"Think about it. We know each other inside out. We've been seen together since we were sixteen, so it wouldn't really be a surprise to anyone. And I'm literally always with you, so it's not like we'd have to make an extra effort to be seen together. We'd just be pretending to date but we'd still just be… us."Wilhelm needs a respectable boyfriend in time for his parents' anniversary party, and Simon offers his services. They're definitely not going to fall in love for real along the way.

Wille straightened again and looked around.
"Do you know where there is a free spot?" he asked, watching as the earlier empty seats started to fill up more and more as more people arrived.
"Yeah, the one on the fourth table over there," Alexander said and pointed at a table where both seats were still empty. "I think the chair by the wall is taken, but the other one should be free."---
This is basically all of season 1 but with one small twist: Wille and Simon have to sit next to each other in class. Wille is still very much a prince, and Simon still hates the monarchy.
