That day in the Build Swap arena, if someone had told PearlescentMoon that one day she would kiss Mumbo Jumbo, she wouldn't have been that surprised.
He was cute, awkward in an endearing sort of way, and blushed the most spectacular shade of red when she teased him.

Summary
The big tower loomed above Pearl's base because Gem challenged Mumbo to build the tallest tower on the server.
The thick, ridged tower was that shape because the structure needed to be wide enough to climb and detailed enough to be considered a real build.
The pink tower was made out of cherry wood simply because it was what him and Pearl had on hand at the time.The fact that Pearl wouldn't admit it looked like a penis seemed to be for no good reason other than to drive Mumbo crazy
