Summary
Dusty was used to things not going his way, it was the story of his whole life basically. So the fact that something else had gone wrong wasn't surprising, the fact that it hadn't even waited for the dust to settle from his crash was. Unfortunately this current issue couldn't be dealt with in the usual 'ignore it and it will go away' manner and he'll have to finally face a problem completely head on.

How Mayday could possibly talk so high of someone with such little talent or even interest, he doesn't understand. And on top of that, Cad is out to make his life horrible. And just when he thinks it couldn't get any worse, feelings are starting to form. Feelings that he neither knows how to deal with nor wants to have in the first place. And that's not even the worst to come.

Summary
After the events of the movie Blade's and Dusty's lives go on. Dusty has to balance his racing carrer and his firefighting and Blade is stuck at Piston Peak. The park needs to be restored, winter is coming and emotional chaos ensues. As Blade and Dusty meet again and again and get thrown from one chaotic mess into the next their relationship changes with every new experience made together. And when everyone around them starts meddling, chaos and drama are inevitable.

Uno-shot'o: Blade has to sit out for a day dealing with another of his lifelong sentence of migraines, and Wind steps in for one hellfire day. Honestly this could have been short enough to go in PttP, but nah.

'It began innocently enough, Blade sharing his past of joining Piston Peak - and how it almost didn't happen - until something caught the team VERY off guard. Since the most recent "incident", things went from 'crazy' to 'weird AND crazy': Seeing ghosts, dreams of memories from another life, all while the ugly head of an unsolved murder looms in the air like fog...and Dusty was about to get wrapped up in a lot more than a fire season this year.'
WARNING: Graphic depictions of violence, fair use of swearing, character deaths and trauma, self-harm and suicide depictions, and convoluted, off-the-rails storytelling by yours truly (a complete psychopath).
