Summary
Izuku Midoriya and Hitoshi Shinso are never going to be the kind of heroes that make civilains think ‘oh, thank god we’re saved,’ when they arrive at the scene. There's too much prejudice against them, so a kid with a villain quirk and one with no quirk at all are never going to be able to inspire that sort of trust.
So instead of becoming heroes that bring hope, they decide to become the next best thing.

“Do you have to leave?” Izuku asked quietly.
“Yeah. I can’t be around you,” Hisashi sighed. “I’m bad luck or something.”
“Oh,” Izuku said quietly, looking at the ground sadly.
“But it’s fine. You have your soulmates,” Hisashi reminded her, pointing at her arm. Eight bands of black and white flowers circled her arm, from wrist to elbow. It was a lot of bonds but that just meant that she’d have more people to love her.

Midoriya Izuku doesn't want to meet any more of his soulmates. Not after the first one he met in middle school broke their bond, burning away their flowers. There was no way his soulmates would accept him. Quirkless, abandoned, and broken.
When he winds up being fostered by one and in the same class as a few others, will he be able to keep them away and shut them out of his life? Does he still want to?

Summary
Shinsou had been making incredible progress. He didn’t say it aloud very often, but Shouta was proud of him. However, training the kid uncovered a few concerning things.
He was pretty sure Shinsou Hitoshi was being abused.
The more he got to know Shinsou, the more he interacted with him, the more certain he was that Shinsou was being abused. Most likely for his quirk. Someone that told him it was villainous.
So when Shinsou was late to training one day, he was worried.
