Shinsou had been making incredible progress. He didn’t say it aloud very often, but Shouta was proud of him. However, training the kid uncovered a few concerning things.
He was pretty sure Shinsou Hitoshi was being abused.
The more he got to know Shinsou, the more he interacted with him, the more certain he was that Shinsou was being abused. Most likely for his quirk. Someone that told him it was villainous.
So when Shinsou was late to training one day, he was worried.

“Oh,” Izuku said quietly, looking at the ground sadly.
“But it’s fine. You have your soulmates,” Hisashi reminded her, pointing at her arm. Eight bands of black and white flowers circled her arm, from wrist to elbow. It was a lot of bonds but that just meant that she’d have more people to love her.

Midoriya Izuku doesn't want to meet any more of his soulmates. Not after the first one he met in middle school broke their bond, burning away their flowers. There was no way his soulmates would accept him. Quirkless, abandoned, and broken.
When he winds up being fostered by one and in the same class as a few others, will he be able to keep them away and shut them out of his life? Does he still want to?

In an age when 80% of the world’s population had superpowers called quirks, Kouji had the ability to speak to animals. Originally, he wondered if he could be a pro hero. But as he grew up, he recognized that he was too timid and he would be happier in an occupation that let him work with animals regularly.
At first, he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. He just knew that he wanted to work with them. As he took more classes, he eventually decided on opening a care facility. He would watch them during the day and, if needed, even offer boarding for overnight trips.
Specifically, he wanted to offer hybrid care for heroes. Many pro heroes publicly lamented the issue of leaving their hybrids behind while they worked. Either they were left home alone, bored and lonely, or they were harassed at care centers.
Having once wanted to be a hero, the idea of helping heroes by providing a safe space for their hybrids, free of fanatics really appealed to him. And so he started choosing his classes and internships with this goal in mind. He was older now, 28. It had taken a decade since that first encounter. But he was finally here, in Tokyo, holding the keys to his new business.

That was Shouta’s first thought when his letter came from UA informing him that he had failed the entrance exam for the heroics course. “But don’t worry! You will still be attending UA in the general education course!” The cheerful talking rat on the hologram recording informed him.
Of course, the ability to erase quirks was useless against robots. Robots who don’t have quirks. Robots who can’t be taken down by perfectly useful non-combative quirks. It was illogical to have such blatant bias in the exams. They were only preventing people with the potential to be great heroes from succeeding, in favor of anyone with flashy and destructive quirks.
And yet, robots were the cause of his current misfortune. So to reiterate; Fuck. Robots.

Izuku never let being quirkless stop him. He started training young with the help of his mother, siblings, an exploding pomeranian. Izuku has the wits to outsmart Nezu and spends his life fine tuning them to become the quirkless hero who wil one day take the world by storm. Along the way he swoons over a pidgeon, fights an exploding pomeranian, impresses a rat, and ya know- scares the hell out of the hero commission, all while maintaining a cafe and an unrivalled sense of fashion.
