Summary
Three days on the mission from hell, undercover at Lord Ashworth's gaudy estate. Lucy disappears behind the Heartfilia mask and runs the mission like she was born to it - because, technically, she was. She's poised, polished, brilliant, taking care of everyone and everything while no one takes care of her. Natsu is forced to watch with an aching jaw as the woman he loves performs a version of herself that doesn't belong to her and he's unable to do a damn thing about it.
When the job ends, Lucy copes by being *herself* - and by taking Natsu apart with a full day of targeted, devastatingly effective teasing with an expert poker face. She expects him to give in to the passion the way he usually does, and let her have what she wants without asking for it.
But he's seen the pattern now. The way she can push but can't ask. The way she takes care of everyone but won't let anyone reach her. The way wanting things openly is the one fight she's never let herself win.
So when she smirks and says 'whatcha gonna do about it', he doesn't break this time. He takes her home, and for once in her life, Lucy Heartfilia doesn't get to run the board.Bookmarked by BlipBlooper

Summary
The war against Zeref is over. A year has passed, and the dust has finally settled on Earthland. As Magnolia rises from its ruins, the mages of Fairy Tail return to the rhythm of the guild: the missions, the brawls, and the road.
The members of the guild have never been closer, bound by a camaraderie forged in the fires of war. For Lucy Heartfilia, galvanized by victory yet still haunted by the weight of her past struggles, peace is not a reason to slow down. She is determined to turn this bond with the guild’s strongest into her greatest asset—pushing her limits to finally stand as their equal.
As she seeks to bridge the gap in power, the lines between friendship and something deeper begin to blur in the quietest of moments.
___Note on canon: I have decided to set the 100 Years Quest aside for this story. I am taking my own path following the end of the original manga to focus on the characters' growth and the development of their relationship in a more personal way.

Summary
Lucy Heartfilia’s first season has finally arrived — and she intends it to be her last. Determined to secure a respectable match and escape the uncertainty shadowing her family’s fortune, she enters society with poise, strategy, and no expectation of love.
Natsu Dragneel never expected to inherit anything. As the reckless second son of the late Viscount Igneel, he was free of responsibility — until his elder brother married Queen Mavis and left him the new Viscount of Ember Hollow. Now burdened with title, duty, and relentless pressure to wed, Natsu has no intention of surrendering to society’s demands.
Lucy and Natsu were once inseparable, childhood companions bound by their mothers’ friendship. But years have sharpened affection into rivalry, and reunion sparks more arguments than warmth.
When scandal threatens Lucy’s reputation, Natsu proposes a calculated engagement — protection in exchange for convenience, no love required.
Yet beneath public indifference burns something neither anticipated.
The season was meant to end quickly.
Instead, it may be the one that changes everything.
